As with your other box entry, this one looks to have had the branches pruned. Can it be chopped to a branch that hasn't been pruned?

Hello Steven,

The main branches were cut off when I first bought them back in December, and I do not intend to use them as part of the final design of the tree.
I can remove the entire branches that were cut, however this cannot be done before the end of the day (I live on campus at University and my bonsai are kept at my parent's house).

I know you need to keep the rules consistent, and so understand if you need to disqualify these entries.

Hi Kyushu,

For your 2 Buxus to qualify the cut branches must be removed and a photo posted as proof before tomorrow's start.

Hello Steven,

Unfortunately I won't be able to do this on time and so I withdraw both Buxus entries. Please delete both threads as I may post about them again on the forum in future for the purposes of asking for advice or documenting their progression.

Thank you,

James

Hi Steven,

Can't you cut James some slack? He has explained that he can't prune the branches off today due to being away from home, surely that is reasonable? Wasn't there some guy who had a exemption to work on his trees early or late or something in the previous comp? It would be a pity if James did not participate due to a technicality, I'm sure nobody on this forum or in the competition would have a problem with it.

Cheers,
Mojo
