Collected Deodar Project

Post by Bonsai Tim »

Hey Guys! Great forum Steven etc.
Anyway my name's Tim. 34yo from Melbourne. I'm reasonably new to bonsai, yet I absolutely love it.

As you can all see, here I have collected some Cedrus Deodara material.

My ambition is to get it looking something like this:

Easier said than done, however I love the above tree and find it to be the sexiest tree I've seen. Words can't explain!
It's Trevor's at Bonsai Art and I believe that it's almost as old as me and was originally grown by Lindsay Farr at Bonsai Farm.

I realise that they are a different taxa and have different natural form but I would really like to get my deodar looking fairly similar.
I'm into making some extreme cuts and will probably document my progress on the forum God willing.

Cheers Guys :fc:
