I saw this Callistemon at a nursery the other day and had to share. Might be a common site for you guys, but still new to me, I love how the buds look like little balls of yarn.

I love the flowers of my melaleuka.
Never seen calistemon like that...mine are all like bottle brushes.

Nops, I have red loamy akadama like soil. I plant all my plants in washed river sand, that is after radical root work...later I shall put them in bonsai soil. Learned that from The Japanese.

That is how all Calli's look before they open completely and look like a "Bottle Brush"

Anybody else have flowers to show? Even old pictures, doesn't have to be in flower right now, and doesn't even have to be bonsai.

Not Bonsai, but I am collecting different Plumeria (frangipani) and have a few
only 2 different ones flowered this year

Also have 2 different Crepe Myrtle and 1 of which has flowered.
the trees are not worth posting, but the flowers are nice

I also have two color pride of India...one finished flowering now, but the purple one just started flowering...I have so many flowers in the garden...too many...but posted only some of the bonsai. My bougies are flowering including my bonsai, hibiscus...and maybe 50 more...I collect plants...maybe even more than 50 are flowering.

Nice flowers Neli and Ken, thanks for sharing.

I ended up with some new ones today. Not what I was looking for at the nursery, but I've always liked these flowers, and heard rumors that they could grow trunks. Most of the time people chop them to the ground every winter, so I couldn't resist when I saw these for $10 each. They are Lantana camara, I believe they are considered a nasty weed down under but they don't seem to be that invasive here.

One trunk. Other looks pretty much the same, they're both about 3 cm at the base.

i have a few Lantana as well, although they are a declared weed and not able to be purchased in commercial nurseries.
The ones here we use a sterile and will not germinate

Ken, do you grow them as bonsai, or just in the yard? I'm wondering how well the leaves reduce. If they don't reduce much, I'll probably need to put them in the ground to fatten up. If they do, then I have a pretty decent start on some shohin. Or maybe these will end up being the kind of thing you grow for the flowers and just don't really worry too much about leaves Any advice or photos you would be willing to share would be much appreciated.
