Port Jackson Figs

These are some cutting that are basically giving me the shari's
100_9032.jpg
, so i decided to reduce the stock by making a couple of triple trunk versions .When 6 becomes 2
100_9033.jpg
that' s reducing , maybe not in size but definitely in number.

. I'm hoping to produce more of a raft style than a clump style .They were simply screwed together with stainless steel screws .Well that takes care of 10 minutes of my day , mind you i planted out 4 trays of Mini Red Crab Apples before sunrise and prior to the wife waking this morning ;) She's on an RDO so i let her sleep in . , i had things to do before the heat of the day

.Cheers Alpineart

Hi KYBonsai , mate due to health issue most things around here have been neglected . I have played with these over the last 2 weeks and potted them into various configurations
P4120028.JPG
so they can be moved indoors for the winter
P4120029.JPG
. I defoliated them earlier in the week , not much to look at but it is progress in the right direction .

They look healthy so that's good will be good to see them in few years
Glad I don't have to bring mine in for the winter, living in the tropics is great for figs :tu:

Hi KyBonsai , Things could be better but no-one to blame but me . The tropics has advantages as does the multi seasoned Southern state . I'd like to get the growth rate of the tropics , i have the set up , just not set up . I'm a gunna one day when i'm fit and dangerous , set up the hot house that's been filed in the shed for a few years .

Cheers Alpine

Yes I wish we could grow the deciduous trees here and get amazing fall colour but can't have everything
I have one little maple that is doing ok I think I haven't had it long so hopefully it bursts into life in spring
