Re: [WANTED] Japanese Maple Multi trunk
when you say multi trunk, do you mean many trunks from underground like a turtle back or similar?

Re: [WANTED] Japanese Maple Multi trunk
Either coming off one main trunk and low to the ground and branching off in to three or as you suggested.
But must be at least 3 trunks .

What you see here is a raft planting Meagi. To create this you simply pull or lie a single trunk down and develop its branches as trunks. Mind you, this one is quite developed but doable in 10-15 years. We can create one on your next visit, if you wish.

Now that's just bragging! But it's ok,you may. Very nice I like it. Only thing wrong with it , is that it's not mine !

Yes not mine either springbok but something to work towards .
May take you up on the offer bodhi if you have some interesting material ?
What you describe building is what I had in mined each branch on the raft will be its own tree.
I think we don't see enough of this material created we get caught up in the usual stock standard stuff my visions must be different ...I like the unusual .
Peter Adams has a great method in his book for this style
