I am lucky enough to be in Melbourne for a few days, at this time of year when the leaves are dropping. Can someone please tell me what those fabulous yellow leafed trees are all the way up the sides and middle of St Kilda Rd and outside the barracks are? Some of them have dark rough trunks and others paler and skinnier. It's so pretty.

Yep rough barked ones are likely English Elm.
Smooth trunked tree's will likely be Plane tree's.
