Aphid larvae?

Post by Kenji B »

Hi guys i checked one of my plants and it seems to have some kind of pest on it. My guess is aphid larvae. I can see little maggot like things that are smaller than aphids, they seem to excrete or are around small purple/pink blobs or spheres of liquid. These thigs are tiny and the only way i spotted them was from the tiny pink blobs which are around the size of a pin point. The problem isnt serious at this point but more a curiosity. Any ideas what these things are?

Kenji, as far as I know aphid do not have larvae. They hatch as miniature aphid and just grow bigger.
It might help to know what sort of plant these are on. A picture would obviously help but I know how difficult it can be to photograph very tiny things.

Hey Kenji
I've also seen them in a couple of my pots,
More noticeably on my ficus.just gave everything a good spray of insecticide.
Can't say I noticed any spots though.
