After having a very informative and nice weekend with Mauro. Working on a nice Cupressus macrocarpa ( Arizona cypress).

My Bonsai buddy asked if he could take one of my Juniper feominas, that was getting the Gunna treatment ( I gunna get to that soon).
So that he could do some wiring and thinning treatment, while he was waiting for his flight out he is a FIFO ( fly in fly out worker).

I said OK why not you enjoy wiring and my hands hurt after 20 mins. Well I went and picked it up yesterday. We discussed the future for this tree.
He has lots of say as it will eventually be his.
FYI Steven this is why you are second. With the Cascade.

There have been a lot of words spoken of that branch, one is to remove, it another is to shorten it when the foliage as comes back. I agree that more movement is needed, and will be put into it.
At the moment I have some others to work on.
So when it is repotted this season that will be again looked at. Thank you for your comments I appreciate them mate.

When they are stronger yes, also a bit at a time as I said after 20 mins the arthritis sets in and I have to stop for a while, but we get there.

Just wondering.. Did the stylist treat the curve in the trunk as a fault? The reason I ask is that he seems to have attempted to conceal it.

Hi Adam, the original tree was a slanting style upright, many years ago. It was knocked of the bench by a brown hawk, that took a dove sitting on it.

So it was styled as a semi cascade from then on, but the cascading branch kept getting knocked as I and others walked past. Sorry OH bugger moments no pics.

This was then taken off you can see where it was on the bend of the trunk. This will also be looked at in the future of the tree, I will admit it was not hidden intentionally.

I like the jig that the tree is sitting in for the new angle shot. Can you please post a full picture of it?

My 2c.

I can't help but think that the canopy width and height are too large for the trunk.
I think a more proportionate and convincing tree would potentially be achieved if this were reduced?
