Looking fantastic Hugh! All ready to run amok into spring by the looks.

I think I can see where you maybe heading with this beauty (my 2D misconceptions aside):
- foliage pad(s) in the foreground and to the left around the first trunk
- another behind the second trunk which looks like it heads off to the right and into the distance. This will be very effective if you can get that lush lilly pilly foliage low and behind to frame your carving and the impressive trunk as it heads upwards
- a broad crown at the apex (which seems to be forming nicely now) to set up the triangle structure with the other two areas.

Fantastic transition. You've brought out great texture in that trunk.

pretty much spot on steve, thats the basic plan at the moment. a lot of work needs to go in to get the basic structure set this and next season

thanks bud, alot of the dead wood was created by removing alot of rot in the trunk which had processed over two years of die back after collection. all the dead wood was already dead, it was just a matter of finding the live parts of the trunk
