In my council area C elms are declared an 'emerging weed'. Which doesn't mean much. And it's no surprise, they are the dominant street tree along the entire length of the main road. Found a nice little 5cm diameter stump i've been given permission to remove. Unfortunately it has quite severe reverse taper from being cut back and healing badly at some point. So i'm not wasting my time.
