Made a slab for a forrest

Post by Olivecrazy »

Had a go at making a slab to day as my car was stuffed an couldnt get to work :( so got my self a bag -of post from stratco for $6.00. Dug a ruff shape an placed some steel in to strengthen the concrete used plastic bottle tops to space the steel into the concrete if all goes well ill colour the next one :fc: put some draniage holes in an some rocks on the bottom seen in picture so it sit of the bench a little. Will take a few pictures in a few days when it set to show how it went ;)

Made this for a forrest ill be making getting a heap of ash seedlings from my boses place just going to do a mass planting 50-100 maybe see how it goes the slab about 60cm long :shifty: :shifty:

How thick is the slab. Could have a bit of weight to it , says he who is carving out solid rock :palm: Nice job Olive. You can always colour it afterwards although mixing the colour in with the cement would be better. Will be watching this with interest, please keep us updated with it as you go. Will be interesting to see the shape you have on the other side. Looks good so far.

good morning olivecrazy.
may I suggest you use paper in the next one to cut down on the weight of the slab. you will find plenty of recipes online for them .
good luck joannm :fc:
