[SALE] ANBA Market Day 10.08.13 Gladesville NSW

The Australian National Bonsai Association is having a Bonsai Market Day on Saturday 10th August 2013.

10:00am to 3:30pm at Gladesville Scout Hall, Crn Ryde Road and Westminster St Gladesville.

interesting.... I get paid Friday, the market day is Saturday, I had planned on visiting Ray Nesci that weekend but I might check out the bonsai market. should be a good chance to chat to some fellow enthusiasts too

any ideas what I could expect at a bonsai market?? ive only been into bonsai for a short time and never been to a market or bought bonsai from private sellers.

Hi Paul I think your best bet is the buyers market-expect semi styled trees.most are enthusiasts reducing their collection. It really will be a case of early bird gets the worm.
Your money will go a long way

thanks for the info mate

im at 6am on weekends so I will be one of the early birds..... I always wonder why I wake up at 6am on weekdays and struggle to get up for work, yet on Saturday im up at 6am staring at miniature trees with a coffee in one hand and some scissors in the other

Hi Steven, just wanted to ask, will there be items other than trees for sale? - (eg) Accessories, Pots? Secondly, can anyone bring their trees to sell at this event?

Only members of National Bonsai Association will be selling, some members may have pots and other materials for sale.

I've just left the sale and there are still lots of bargains available. Big and small bonsai and stock trees available. Some very old material too! Some big old pots too at bargain prices.

I've picked up a nice trident with a fat base!

Got to meet Squizzy too

Lots of great stuff there i agree. I refrained from buying any as I really have no room. I'm actually double stacking some of mine here at the moment. That's when you realise you have a problem.

Great to meet Steven today as well. I think I missed a few others that were at the sale from ausbonsai.

Have got a sticker now for the back of the work ute.
