The great bonsai hitch-hiking trip

Gday gang,
Thanks to legendary helpfulness from an AusBonsai crewmember, my awesome new bonsai will have hitchhiked from somewhere near the QLD border, down to Sydney. Its now looking to hitch a ride from Sydney down into Victoria.

The Bonsai now looking for:

Anyone driving from Sydney to Victoria

OR

Someone that can grab the tree in Sydney between this saturday (10th) and tues (13th) then get it down to Tahmoor and drop it off to my friends who will be leaving Tahmoor sometime on Thurs the 15th... Or Shellharbour a day or two before that.

OR

Anyone that has any other good suggestions

A couple of Ausbonsai legend are making it all happen.. The tree enjoyed a leisurely 700 km drive towards the south and is now relaxing at a luxury sydney hotel. After a few days of rest, relaxation and sightseeing, it will be meeting up with new AusBonsai friends and making its way another 100km south for a night or two, then make the final journey home where many a drink will be had to celebrate.

Could never have happened without AusBonsai

Here it is as it sat in its former home.. Its former owner was selling up the collection due to a change in lifestyle. She wanted to have more freedom to travel and her bonsai was holding her back. She felt a great deal of responsibility toward her trees and could not allow herself to leave them to grow unhealthy due to lack of care. She was very glad that an enthusiast was willing to take the tree.

The dark photo is the tree sitting in Sydney enjoying a cool, refreshing drink.

Well, the tree is now on its final leg home. It left Sydney this morning and is now somewhere between wangaratta and Melbourne. It will be welcomed with arms open to its new owner, new home and new life around dinner time. Il be sure to post soon after.
