20 year old Platypoda Fig

Post by iliya »

I picked up this 20 year old fig this time last year,
6 months ago I cut it back to a bare truck and let it shoot back,
I selected the most suitable branches and roughly wired them.
Today I cleaned it up and re-potted it, now its in a warmed mini green house until spring.
some pics of before and how it sits today

I missed your original posting but I love that trunk! It will make a very powerful tree.

That is going to be an awesomely powerful tree, given a few years attention. Good luck with it and if you ever get tired of it, remember where I am ;)
