Japanese maple please help wanting to dig out

For what it's worth I cut back my maple 2 weeks ago in Brisbane and it bled the cut paste off for 3 days so maybe attack with caution lol.

I wouldn't want to dig such a large tree the weight of the rootball would be a concern. And trying to reduce it maybe hard. Plus it would be very hard to dig up.

Concider air layering it instead this will enable you to grow a beautiful new root system and also be able to have movement and taper close to the base by layering it below a junction and removing certain branches .
Post a photo. And I can give more advice on what I mean.

If u dig it you will have a huge root mass and a very large stump .
If you use the air layer method it could save you years in trunk development.

You could trunk chop it while still in the ground this year and consider digging it out in winter?
