Spring snow

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

Today started off as a beautiful spring day,but by lunchtime it was snowing . Predicted to get down to -4 tonight . Spring was early for me this year and a lot of stuff is leafing out . I'll have to get up early to water any frost off all the young shoots .

You must be kidding me :palm: I have been building a fence the past two days in 30+ heat. While I like it a bit cooler not sure I would like snow

Lesson don't water off frost when temperature is still below 0 . This Berberis was under the house eaves . It was covered in frost this morning -7 . I used a watering can this morning to try to wash off the frost on the new leaves .It froze nearly instantly (I nearly shari myself) . It was still -1 at 9 o'clock , this guy thawed out by 10 o'clock and I swear it had grown more leaves by 11 o'clock . These guys are tough . Other stuff that was in the glass house didn't fair so well . It got down to -4 inside it.

How many times you get decent snow down that low this year Sno?

I certainly do ski or board.
Snowboard and have done so for quite some time now.
Jeepers maybe 15 odd years I reckon?

It's snowed probably half a dozen times at this altitude this season here ,only stuck a couple of times . It's been a lousy season this year didn't ski once . I kept waiting for the perfect day ,it didn't help that my girlfriend is getting over a broken leg so wasn't really motivated. Next year . :fc:
Thanks Ken .
