One year on from collection an this elm was starting to wake up from winter with buds starting swell with a few pushing growth so i defoliated the tree an wired it up will make a grow box an re pot early this week i hope

Have a update on this tree not even a year of training complete on this tree an so far its going great the plan at this stage is to adjust branches but no trimming till December looking at getting some vigor into the tree an all so thicken the branches an leader
its 110cm high right now but finished height be around 90cm

Got time to wire this tree it had become very bushy so gave a light trim an placed branches a bit better
im leaving the tops to thickn the leaders maybe as long as 2 more yrs
while i wait ill clip an grow the rest with a bit of wiring here an there.

Last weekn my club had there club exhibition where the they had a raffle the guy who won the 2nd prize got a pot 70cm by 50cm which in the end was given to me
so i took a good chinese elm to the next meeting for him to say thanks
. So what to do with this pot
decided to do a gentle repot of this big elm it maybe a bit small for it but can all ways let it grow bigger
