Hi guys, been doin bonsai for a little while now, but am very intrigued by collecting bonsai from the wild. I love the outdoors and what better way t o spend it then to look for bonsai potentials...
Just wondering what type of soil mix should i use once i have collected a particular tree.
i see many people use course pebble type mixes....
any advice would be greatly appreciated.....

Re: yamadori soil mix
Any I collect go straight into my normal mix. others may have specialised mixes but normal mix works for me.

Same as Shibui, straight into my normal mix, but my normal mix is nothing like his, but that is an entirely different discussion
pot up into Whatever you normally use and what works fro you. So long as free draining then you are good.
