Trunk to Height Ratio Clarification

Hey all.

I was wondering, when you read about having a trunk to height ratio of 1:6 - 1:12 does that mean trunk WIDTH, or trunk DIAMETER?

Because I have a trunk that its WIDTH is 2cm (0.8inch) but its DIAMETER is 5cm (2inch)

Now I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be aiming for lol. If my tree is going to be 60cm (23 inch) high, then am I looking for a Diameter of 10cm (4inch) or a Width of 10cm (4inch). 10cm(4 inch) width seems a bit extreme to me oO

I think I misunderstood diameter for a second there, its similar to width going from one point to the other

I think maybe circumference was the word you were looking for.

by my definition, trun Width and Diameter are the same thing

Ye lol, soz I got confused for a sec because I saw places mention width, and other place diameter so I got confused and mistook diameter for circumference for a second
