Big repot again today 3 hr job! Another reason you dont want too many big trees. This was a root wrap job so it is time to address this while i have lots of growing on to still do. I decided on using the tooth pick method except that on a big arse base like this you need to use skewers. The roots are way to fleshy and tender and i just dont trust the plug graft. We shall see next year???

Update some new roots and so tried some drill and plug this year. It has grown strongly but recently fallen to powdery mildew ( I think ). I have treated twice with an antifungal.

Hope you're still working on this tree, any chance of a naked update this winter?
