trident for jarrod
this is one of the tree's jezz wired for me back at the start of june. its 4yrs old from seed pot grown for 2 yrs then poly box for 2 yrs. it did have severe root work done in between. and again this time. in the end there was half the roots you see in this photo.the tree will now be left to grow on again for 2 years with a good pruning in between.the lighter is a mini.

Re: trident for jarrod
Hi Antonio,
This tree has a nice future
I have hundreds of these seedling, but do not have time to
train the roots, I have put only three 3-years-old with similar radiated roots down the
ground.
I found that at the end of year two, if we have enough times and flat training pots,
cut off the taper root, rearrange the rest, put them into the flat pots. They will just
go from there.
Best regards.

Re: trident for jarrod
Pumped Hell, bloody exhausted.... I can manage repotting 18 in one day on a good day... 25 is great going. The little maple looks good. Reeking with potential. Actually, I think you are realising the potential.
I have a little sweetie that a friend divested from his holdings and dumped on my table and I have just done it 'root over rock'. Trident naturally. At this stage nothing to write home to Mum about [unless I can afford a stamp to Heaven] but in several years when the roots take hold and I develop the top..... I'm looking forward to it.
