This thing has come up in my backyard and obviously been there for a while. I'm in Brisbane.
At the moment it's about 5m high so probably a small tree.
The leaves are about 50 to 60mm long and there are seed capsules that look like an olive with a point on them. One seed in the capsule.
All idaes welcome thanks.
Happy Potter

Hi BP,
Looks like it could be a Persoonia species. You have included fruit, bark and leaves which is great, but unfortunately there are a lot of them and they are difficult to tell apart. It may be worth taking a photo of the flowers next time they appear. I'm not familiar with QLD species but it could be worth checking out:
P. stradbrokensis
P. cornifolia
P. media
If you have some time and are interested enough, you could attempt to key it out using this key: http://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-b ... =Persoonia
Note that it is designed for New South Wales species though, and does not include all QLD taxa.
I don't think you'd have any luck successfully removing this plant for use as bonsai.
