Rain

Post by GavinG »

Just because it has been raining, it doesn't mean that your trees have been watered!

Cydonia in the rain, nice and wet:

Maple next to it, quite dry:

The water just falls on the leaves, slides off, and falls outside the pot.

Always check, even if it's been raining!

And some fresh Lepto. megacarpum leaves with a cobweb, just for fun.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing today. Went out while it was raining and some of the trees were bone dry. A good reminder to keep on eye on things. It's easy to think Mother Nature is doing it for you but if you go stand under a big tree when it's raining you don't get wet so bonsai's are no different.
