Thought I would share this video showing the autumn colors at the US National Bonsai Collection. Enjoy the spring growth down there! Maybe in a decade or two I can sneak an Aus native into that collection . . .

Beautiful.
I found the pronunciation to be interesting too.
I noted Ryan Neil very much pronouncing it like this and it made me wonder.
Now I know.
Any pics of your trees to compliment the bid Karl?

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Very interesting, thanks for sharing Karl. The couple of times I've Ben to the US I loved the colour in the landscape of the trees changing colour. Very cool.

Re: Autumn on this side
Autumn color? Not here mate. Weather has been in the 30s and my Chinese elm is still pushing new growth. Not much color to be had around here. The Aus natives love it though.Boics wrote:Beautiful.

Re: Autumn on this side
This is the kind of color I get around here. Note the autumn coloring in a few leaves, the bright green new leaves, and the dark green older leaves. All while flowering. Since we don't get a real winter to speak of here, some of the trees get a bit confused. This is a Callery Pear landscape tree growing in my back yard. Someday I might put an air layer on it, but I haven't been that ambitious yet. Not my favorite trees. The blossoms stink.
Anyway, enjoy the image of fall color and spring blossoms, all at the same time. In the winter.
