Here is my latest port Jackson I have potted up. Had been in a grow box for about three years from a cutting.

A promising young tree. Question how big was the cutting, diameter wise? And what time of year did you take it. Thanks

Hi bonsaifan took the cutting in spring was probably crayon thickness two inches once it kicked off chucked it in a styro box heavy fed it is been trunk chopped two or three times.

Thanks for the info. Im currently trying cuttings alot smaller but will give this thickness a go next.

Here is another pj I have been working on for a few years. Same method plant in grow box mega feed and chop a few times I think I put this one on a dinner plate in the grow box and it was originally a little seedling I going growing out of a limestone rock.
This one has been in a bonsai put for about a year.

Hi Mugen very nice fig. Are you sure it's a GI fig ? The leaves look more ovate like it may be a Long Island Fig ? Usually GI figs have perfectly round leaves :2c:

Heya Bougy Fan :) Yeh you are probably right about the id I assumed it was green Island but I did notice the leaves slightly different to other ones I have seen,a bit longer.... I picked it up a few years ago from a landscape supply nursery with no tag on it.
Thanks for the heads up I didn't know there was a long island Fig haha.

Update. Needs some wire and a trim probably going to reduce the branches to induce taper.
