New shohin satsuki

Post by Gerard »

After the Yarra Valley sale I arrived home with this little satsuki azalea and pot (very much like the one posted by pup last week (Pup's stick in a pot)
I enjoyed the flowers for a week before pruning and potting yesterday. I especially like the base if the trunk and will possibly remove the left branch next year but for now it can recover.

Cute!
Do you plan to do it twin trunk or single. You need to bend the primary branches soon since they are hard to bend later. Try to make flat pads on it.
I ask lots of questions that sound like suggestions. Please remember I am a inquisitive newbie trying to figure out why You made a particular decision, in order to learn.
