A good feed and good water should see it bounce back completely (but not too much, just remember although it won't nessecarily hurt, a good well draining mix doesn't mean water when it's still wet, I have found privet, and all my other trees for that matter, do much better when they are allowed to dry out a but before re-watering)
As ken said, this variety (I have one from the same batch) is golden privet, and green and gold leaves, sometimes on different sides and sometimes even on the same shoot, are very common, sometimes they change sometimes they don't.
thanks for the feed back bio, it seems that it has been getting weaker and weaker since the repot!
it was in a seasol bath for 24 hours and the really hot weather yesterday messed it right up! it has lost most of its leaves
its now in the shade, ill try and let it dry out for the next 2 days and give it a good soak
to be honest i have no idea why its doing this, every one of my plants is looking great at the moment, in the sense of health that is, they dont look so great with all the weeds
cheers
Matt
