Species I.D

Post by boom64 »

Hi All, I collected a few of these several weeks ago. They were pretty dry and a greyish red colour. They have slowly greened up and have been pushing new growth , the tips mostly green but sometimes red. They have a strong smell when crushed. Just hoping someone might be able tell me what they are as they have beautiful trunks and a lovely shape through the branches so hopefully will work out. Thanks John.

So awesome.
I need these in my life.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Probably a Micromyrtus, could also by a Calytrix. I hope they grow for you, they have great potential. Ash

Hi ,Thanks for the reply's .I will do some research on Micromyrtus and Calytrix angles. Just hope I can make something of them ,reasonable confident they will survive :fc: . My benches are starting to look like a native nursery .Once again big thanks to all, Cheers John.
