Nice tree's John.

I've been following the Ash workshops closely and have been learning a bit about maintenance of this species.
Can you explain for me please.

1. Why defoliate so many times?
2. Should you defoliate all Ash tree's as many times as possible in a growing season?
3. Are there reasons one should not defoliate?

I'd be interested in any other pointers you may have as well.
It is clear from these specimens that you have some experience with this species!

Thanks,
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Great looking trees love the corky bark on these.
