[SOLVED] Identify my first bonsai please

Post by Bmac »

Hey,
Was given a bonsai today as a Christmas gift, I have admired bonsai trees for a while and now finally have one of my own, unfortunately I do not know the species of tree and have not be an able to find it online , I would like some help identifying it so I can properly care for it.
Thanks, Ben
( I have attached a picture of the tree, the leaves are also kind of jagged if that helps)

Correct but could also possibly be the "Catlin" variety; going by the very stiff look of the branches; probably from cutting as well ,as a guess.
