New pot just arrived
My lovely wife just spent a month in Japan and picked up this beautiful pot for me whilst on her holiday. It's a Yoshimura Shuho pot from a kiln in the Tokoname area.
This pot was once baby blue in colour but over many years of sun, water, dust, and dirt exposure,it now shows a beautiful grey patina.
Having spoken to a profession dealer, apparently this particular colour is rare in these pots. This makes this pot somewhat more valuable than those with the standard cream colour that most in this run of pots had.
Just a plant pot, but a pretty cool one!

That's a fine and subtle blue, that will go well with a tree. Most commercial blue glazes are too bright, can get garish. Would love to see the pot with a tree in it when it happens. Thanks for posting.

What a great idea Scott! I'll do just that! Although, it will be a long long while before that happens.. They aren't very fast growers are they..
Gavin, I guarantee you will at some stage in the future. Even faster if you post me one of those awesome hawthorns you dug recently!!
I think I'm going to develop myself a new, expensive habit...
