[ID] anyone tell what this is. (Growing in mums garden)

Post by Josh »

Up at mum and dads in Echuca at the moment. Mum asked if I could dig some trees out of the garden that have just popped up in the wrong spot. I figured if I'm digging them out I might as find out what they are???

I figure they are nothing special. They seem fairly flexibly so some bending is order if I keep them.
Any ideas?????
Thanks
Josh.

I wondered if it was a privet but didn't want to preempt. There's quite a few so might chuck them together and grow a clump. Thanks.

Josh.

Looks to be large-leafed privet. Could be better trees to spend your time on.

There are plenty of them around here too. I thought they are large leaf privet as well. Some of the locals refer to it as 'laurel' but I don't think it is camphor laurel though.

Thanks everyone. I had to dig them out for mum so may as well have a play with them. Maybe suit a larger tree though being big leafed. Do the leaves reduce at all does any one know??
