Fig air layer 2 years on

Post by Paulneill »

Hi guys

This was a air layer (finger thick) I planted in the garden 2 years ago. The first year was slow but the second year there was no stopping it. I believe it is a port Jackson . It had plenty of sacrifice branches to help fatten the base but now I'm left with a lot of scaring from were they were removed. I will let it recover and then back into the garden to grow for another 2 years hopefully it will heal the wounds and fuse all those roots together forming a big triangular mass for me to use as a base to build upon.
