Newbie with 9yr old crab apple.

Hi I just got my very first bonsai tree.
As it says above it is 9 yrs old but very healthy it has some tiny apples on it. I live on the northern beaches of Sydney and would appreciate any advice on when/if it should be repotted, watering yard position etc. It is in full sun at the moment on my trampoline ( got no kids so don't worry.)The lady I got it from just took some wires off of it. What time of year should it be worked. I know watering in this heat should be plentiful. I have a few books but nothing much in them about crab apples.
I have tried to add a picture. I do not drive so can't get to club meetings etc.

Hi Robbie and welcome

Semi shade or filtered light in these conditions, but being on the beaches and cooler than most you might be OK with it in full sun. Needs water 2 times a day in this heat, but make sure the soil does not stay wet

Repot and root prune in winter months when dormant like and deciduous tree, and i wire in winter too so that the branches set thru the early spring and I can take it off before it cuts in and marks the bark.

Hi Robby and welcome. I second what Ken has said. I would give your tree a drink of seasol and do some reading before doing much else. Won't be long before it's more than one tree

probably needs a couple of years in a good sized grow pot to thicken the lower trunk--encourage low sacrifice branches
