Got a Buttonwood, not sure on the style yet. Opinion?

Post by Schoolya »

Picked up this Buttonwood and the Joy of Bonsai convention this weekend in Florida. Not sure on the style yet. I put some images on IMGUR http://imgur.com/a/pOeCo A couple pictures of the tree, and some styling ideas. Any opinions?

Good find. What's a Buttonwood? The last image you posted seems to be a good way to go.

Hi there,

I like the first image as it shows off the deadwood much better.

The branches can be bent back toward the left to create the foliage pads and the overall canopy should be weighted to the left also.

This will make an excellent tree in the future.

Regards,
Mo
There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.
