Swamp/Bald Cypress Trees

Post by Dzou »

Hey guys,

Relatively new to Bonsai and after purchasing a nice Port Jackson ficus i am looking into other types of trees which i really like.
:lost: Just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a Swampy or a Bald Cypress? I love the character of these trees, they really
are amazing!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Dean

Hey Dean.
I just bought a cpl from bonsaishop.com. about $20 as starters.
Nice enough trees as starters and packaged very well for postage.

Hi dean depending on where in Sydney you are head to either bonsai south (caringbah) or ray nescis (dural), both will have what your looking for and I suspect you'll come away with more. Plus you get to choose what ever tee tickles you

Thanks for the replies guys!

bonsaibeginer, i just checked out the website and it actually has quite a few nice trees!
After i check out bonsai south at caringbah, I will most likely look to them.

Isitangus, I actually purchased my PJ from Caringbah but i didnt notice many other trees that caught my eye.
I think i had PJ fever at the time though haha :shifty: so I will definitely go and check them out again.
I recently visited ray nescis aswell but the problem was I was after a Taxus tree so again i was probably just
wearing taxus goggles :palm: ...

Sorry to Hijack this thread a little,

however I have tried posting in the for sale/wanted section however I do not have sufficient number of posts on the forum to post there. I am Located in Perth and would like to get my hands on a young Swampie that I can grow on and develop. I am not really looking for a developed or styled tree. Seedlings or saplings would be great, if Perthite has one or two they would be willing to sell, please let me know.

cheers,

Jeff
