This is my Privet, the tag had it listed as a corky bark privet, got it as a fathers day present last year, stuck it in a pot and have not touched it since.

Sorry for the crap photos, using my phone.

Just wondering what the botanical name for Privets are. If I was to walk into a nursery what species would I be looking for. Also where or what area would I need to be looking to Yamadori some privet in Adelaide.

I doubt yu will find a privet in a nursery, I thought they are declared weeds and thus unable to be sold?
Ligustrum is the botanical family name.

Have no idea where you will find them there tho. look for creek beds and patches of bush that have been overridden.

This is an Italian privet (Ligustrum ovalfolium) getting a restyle and being reduced to shohin size. In heavy work.
