Pick up this Lepto today. It had good movement and some good branches to choose a new leader and create taper in the trunk line.

Think this has real potential. Any comments welcome. I'll wait till spring and prune back to a single leader then regrow. Can you prune hard and repot/root prune at the same time?

Great movement in your last photo and a good size trunk.
I like the way you handled getting it into your car
It's not so simple when you have an actual bonsai that won't fit into your car.

I have a few trees that I picked up that way. Waited too long on the last one though, and it was gone when I went back to look for it. Oh well. I've had luck telling them how long I've been watching it and asking when they would drop the price so I could buy it too. Only at big box stores though, I wouldn't do such a thing at a bonsai nursery where they put so much work into them.

Took this tree to our native bonsai workshop today. Cleaned up the roots and picked a leader. Just needs to back bad now and grow some new branches.
