BSV Sale Day
It is on again, the BSV annual sale day will take place on Sunday June 1, 2014. Freemasons Hall Strathalbyn Street Kew. 10am
(The same old hall as previous sales) $2 entry
This event gets bigger every year!
We have learnt that everyone arrives at or before door opening and all the buying is done in the first hour or so.
The doors will be open for 2 hours only 10am till noon.
There will be about 20 individual stalls selling
established trees
pots
tools
nursery stock
field grown trees
collected trees
and more
This will be an opportunity to get some advanced stock trees and select a project tree for the upcoming workshops with Hiro.

Re: BSV Sale Day
Yes Ryan, the pine comes from the same grower as your crab apple (Mike)
I have had it for a few years now and will grow it for a few more before I find a pot. Grafted nishiki pines usually show an ugly graft but this is very well done, I think it is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Re: BSV Sale Day
Got all the pots ready for sale over the weekend, now need to find time to get my 30yrs old plus junipers ready for sale, although only in small pots you would not think them to be so old but the bark says otherwise!! Great Hiro workshop material!!!
Hope to see some of you then!

Re: BSV Sale Day
Just put the finishing touches on a few pines that could go onto the show bench at any show. Priced to sell.

Re: BSV Sale Day
A reminder that sellers need to bring plastic or tarp to cover tables and floor, we expect some rain and must clean up afterwards. See you tomorrow!

Re: BSV Sale Day
hi Ryan
since no one bothered to post anything, here is one i picked up. it is neither a bargain nor masterpiece, but there was something i liked that i thought i could use to bring out the beauty of the tree.

Tien

Re: BSV Sale Day
A couple of quick late night shots of my purchases.
Firstly a cute little shohin pyracantha.

And secondly a flowering apricot (ume), by no means a bargain, but a variety I've been wanting for a while and the trunks are already built on this one, so it's just a simple (ha) matter of building branches for a beautiful winter display of flowers.
