Thanks for the compliment John ! I will be down your way for a couple of weeks in late June early July . Phone number is on the website . Here are acouple of shots of thunder eggs as promised and a couple of burls . The burl with the tree (scruffy tree) is a natural hollow and has no lining , the tree has been in it for four years and no apparent problems . Once the burls are coated with my new brew they should be good for a long time .

PS just hollowed out a huge hunk , it is about 500 mm by 400 mm and 200 mm deep at least . Hope to line it tomorrow .

Yep, those burls look awesome! That first one looks perfect

That little burl with the tree was my first burl . It was sitting on top of a log and already hollow . I cut it off with a handsaw and drilled a couple of drainage holes . No lining , that thing is winging it ! Now that I have worked out the lining membrane perhaps I will clean it out this Spring and give it a coat . The tree will have to go into a group on my big granite slab . The granite slab that I carried down the hill , over the burnt logs , through the thistles , etc. only to be told "You are not selling that !" . Guess I'll keep it. Cheers Graham

i would love to have something like this are you selling them? that second one is absolutely stunning already has me thinking about the different styles that could be used
