1st attempt at a group: Sheoak

I removed n airlayer from a casuarina that had no branches bellow, and it died. Did you have this experience before? It was in the ground. The layer is doing fine. Not sure what type of casuarina but it has smoothish brown bark.
I ask lots of questions that sound like suggestions. Please remember I am a inquisitive newbie trying to figure out why You made a particular decision, in order to learn.

Thanks Bonsaibuddyman.
Ill give it another go for sure. If i have learned one thing in this past 12 months, its that patience pays off. Ill slip plant into a bigger pot and grow out for a bit I think and takle it in a year or two.
