Re: Waverley Bonsai Group Show – Aug 2014
This year, along with our 'Best in Show' award judged by the experts, we will also have a new popular choice award.
Thanks to our long-running partnership with the Japan Club of Victoria and their Japan Festival – at which we display a room full of bonsai in May each year – They have generously donated the Japan Festival Award including a prize to the bonsai voted favourite by the first 100 members of the public to visit our show on Saturday morning.
So get in early this Saturday (opens 10 am) and have your say as to which bonsai is the best!

Re: Waverley Bonsai Group Show – Aug 2014
Looking forward to another great show. I'll have rock pots for sale and some plants. This is the first show I've ever displayed trees in so
they're good enough. Usually a great chance to grab a bargain off the sales tables and demonstrations throughout the day. Should be a great show, worth dropping into.
Josh.

In the Sales Room .................
For those wanting a bargain get in early, we have a number of members downsizing their collections so some good trees should be on hand.
Some members are bringing pots, starters and advanced pre-bonsai.
Bonsai Art will have their usual range of excellent starters to mature bonsai.
The Pot Lady and the Stand Man will be offering their hand crafted wares.
Be Well,
Zyggy.

Hi Josh, if you don't mind me asking, what are "rock pots"?
Do you have a photo? Cheers, Simon.

Re: Waverley Bonsai Group Show – Aug 2014
I carve hollows into rocks to create a natural looking rock setting for bonsai. These are a few of my larger ones. I have a couple of smaller ones. I've given a few away lately so don't have as many to sell as I'd hoped. Josh.Psymo wrote:Hi Josh, if you don't mind me asking, what are "rock pots"?Do you have a photo? Cheers, Simon.

Re: Waverley Bonsai Group Show – Aug 2014
Hey Ryan, its shaping up to be another great show. I'm hoping to be there early afternoon say around 2ish. This rain is delaying a few things at work so will depend on what happens today and tomorrow morning but at this stage should be there most the afternoon to help out.
Cheers
Josh.

Pots cleaned and polished, trees mossed, final prune all done. Ready for the show.
Bring it on. Going to be some really nice trees there. Here's a few for you pre-show. Not my trees and definitely worth seeing.
