sorry mate not a test, was just seeing if it were easily identified with a single shot of the foliage.

the tree has a greyish bark (as pictures below) and a red tone when brushed back.
The foliage is rather open and flat/frond like when mature. has a very strong sweet smell when you touch/crush or cut the foliage and branches.
growth is fairly upright.

Neli its a slightly bluish green, silver between the segments of the foliage

I thought it is chameoceparis boulevard...but it is not. One of the many kinds of shimpaku with larger buds.

Thuja? Occidentalis is a very common ornamental.

Tuja O has very flat fronds...this one is more 3 dimensional.

It seems to me like Chamaecyparis thyoids (antlantic white ceder) is the closest yet. might even be it, the foliage is pretty close to mine looks and the fruit and seed capsules look the same.

Hugh I am glad someone else names their bonsai, like me. Neli. LOL. I don't know either, does it smell piney? I don't think it is a juniper genus. But I'm struggling myself to ID some of my bonsai, that had either no labels on them other than 'Pine'.
