A few other members on AB attend with me, along with serveral other teachers of the School, and after this amount of time, the night is essentially a workshop where we get assistance if required of each other and our 4 teachers.
Our trees are discussed / critiqued by all and sundry and worked on by ourselves, and occasionally work gets done in team environment. The format of the school is not 1 presenter having a chat and demoing, but a collective learning experience for all

The second last night of each term is a display night, where all are encouraged to bring a long a tree or 3 and put on display. one of the teachers will Judge each Bonsai and Rank them thru the night, then at the end, do a critique on each of them.
The members get to vote on the 1st and second placed trees as well and the results are usually interesting.
The night is designed to make us think about how we display our trees, and improve the presentation of them in all its form. This is just another way the School teaches. Nothing like doing it with your own trees to learn about the finer points of presentation

Last night the theme was "Small Trees", and we had a great response and heaps of trees on display, So many that we ran out of room on the benches and had to squash them all together
