Unexpected trip to Japan- help please?

Post by Ces »

Hey guys,

So I have been told today that I am off to Japan for work, friday week :tu: . I will have several days in each city of Tokyo, Osaka and Hiroshima. I will also have at least one day in Kyoto.

I will get into some research when I get home tonight but given my short amount of time to plan I am turning to the great knowledge base that is Ausbonsai to let me know what not to miss in and around these cities. Obviously I am asking for pointers to bonsai nurseries and museums but if you have traveled to Japan and there are other things that you think I should see please feel free to suggest them.

Pretty excited about the trip. I have been to Japan before but it was with a school rugby tour and well before the bonsai bug bit.

Thanks in advance guys :aussie:

Omiya (Tokyo) is an obvious must-see.
If you need very detailed directions or recommendations give me a PM. :)

Thanks, bud. Knew I would be trying to do that but thought it was around Osaka. Pulled a double in the end so didn't get to study tonight. Thanks for the tip.

if I cant work it out in the next few days, I'll definitely send you a pm.

Thanks again.

From Osaka its really easy to get to Kyoto, the people at Kouka-En will also give you ideas of what to visit.
They helped me a lot when i was there.

Thanks
