I think its time for a rest then I get an idea , just one more ;) . This has had 6 thread grafts applied to the naked cut section .

A quick trim down to 750mm and some wire . This will do until some shoots appear that can be wired or utilized as more thread grafts :D . Definately time for a break

I just wish t was mine!...Are you keeping all that long leader on top or just fattening it?

Hi Neli , the leader is to keep the energy flowing to the top and I will use the shoots for grafting lower down . There is a couple of buds up there that could be useful .

Cheers .Alpine

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
