Tassie's quarantine issues

Post by ando967 »

Hey guys,

I have a few bonsai that I've been looking after that I inherited from my grandfather a few years ago. I'm looking to get a few more, just struggling to get what I want and wondered if you can import seedlings or seed in some cases into tassie and where the best places to get them are? If anyone's had to negotiate Tassie's quarantine some advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tom

You can' take anything into Tassie with any soil on it. Not sure about seed but a lot of places won't ship to Tassie cause it's not worth the hassle. I know that doesn't help you find what your looking for but unless it's totally clean (even bare rooted won't pass most of the time) it won't get in. Maybe list what your looking for to see if anyone can help
or call one of the bonsai nurseries in Tas
Tasmania
Bonsai Radcliffe Nursery, 125 Risdon Road, Lutana, TAS 7009
Island Bonsai, 37 Hall St, Ridgeway,TAS 7054
Lindisfarne Village Garden Centre, 37 Lincoln St, Lindisfarne, TAS 7015
Newtown Station Nursery, 65 Belle Vue Parade. Newtown,
Tasmania 7008 Tasmanian Bonsai Centre, Riverside, TAS 7250

They may be able to help
