My mum voted for the swampie because she said it reminded her of something from middle Earth. It was only later that we realized it was from Canberra and that her feeling about the tree was therefore fairly accurate. :whistle:

This is a tanuki and was created by the late Mr Hong Lin it is still with his family.

Your "mini JBP" was absolutely cute as a button and about 1/3rd of the size I envisaged!

What an incredible little specimen!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
