Hi there,
It looks like you might have gone too far. Unless there are leaves to provide energy and gases to the plant it won't grow regardless of whatever else you do. The large wound that hasn't been sealed won't help things either. My advice is put the plant in a sealed environment (pot with bag over the top) and leave it in a bright but not hot spot. Only water with dilute Seasol after you see leaves sprout. Don't go over board with the fert though.

According to the date (back to the ground 15/08/2014) it was done just before bud burst. That is perfect timing...
