I received this plant as a gift, it has know tag and I'm not sure on it's care. Any help would be much appreciated.

A very rough guess would be crepe myrtle?

Confirmation on Crepe Myrtle - botanical ID is Lagerostroemia indica cultivar or a hybrid between Lagerstroemia fauriei and Lagerstroemia indica. cheers, Ash

I'll go along with Crepe myrtle as well.
Looks like it could do with some feeding and probably repot at the earliest opportunity. Look after it like any other potted plant or bonsai.
Crepe myrtle can be pruned hard and will sprout from the trunk or wherever you cut back to.
Around here they are flowering now.

Hi,

Thanks for your replies Squizzy, Shibui and Ash. It is in need of a repot and as I wasn't certain of the species so I thought I should check before i repoted. I will get onto it today. I will do some research on them also.
